Shaylin Daji, M.S.

Secretary

Fundación Manos Juntas

Shaylin Daji first started volunteering with Manos Juntas in 2012 and has served as a board member since 2016. During his time with the clinic, he developed a strong commitment to serving patients with limited access to care. While volunteering in the phlebotomy lab, one particularly meaningful experience Shaylin often reflects on took place when a patient shared that without the free services and medications provided by Manos Juntas, she would have had to choose between feeding her children or getting her own medicine, with her children’s needs taking priority every time. This moment reinforced Shaylin’s understanding and appreciation of the profound impact Manos Juntas has at both the individual and community level.

Shaylin holds a B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Oklahoma and an M.S. in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. After graduating, he worked at Tarrant County Public Health, where he helped coordinate logistics to bring vaccination services directly to communities through a mobile clinic. These experiences strengthened his dedication to improving access to healthcare, and he is now pursuing medical school with the goal of becoming a physician dedicated to caring for medically underserved communities.
