Volunteer with Us!
We appreciate the time, energy, and hard work of those individuals who want to make a difference for those in need. Volunteering with Manos Juntas is a rewarding and life-changing experience. We have nearly 300 volunteers every year helping our operations. Our programs offer a broad variety of volunteer opportunities for everyone.
Student Opportunities
-
Triage
We triage all patients by taking their height, weight, blood pressure, and pulse. If a patient has diabetes, we check their glucose levels and perform a foot sensitivity test.
-
Pharmacy
All medications prescribed by our providers are provided free of charge. Volunteers quickly become familiar with common medications used to treat chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, and cholesterol.
-
Medical Laboratory
Volunteers get the opportunity to be trained as a phlebotomist and assist in our medical laboratory. Laboratory testing is generously provided by Diagnostic Laboratories of Oklahoma.
-
Healthcare Administration
There’s always a lot to do in our clinic! Volunteers assist patients with checking in, pulling patient files, working with providers as a medical scribe, communications, and fundraising.
