Sarah Tran, D.O.

Board Member

Fundación Manos Juntas

Dr. Sarah Tran, a native of Moore, OK, began volunteering at Manos Juntas in 2011. It was her experience working with underserved populations at Manos Juntas that inspired her to pursue a career in medicine. Over the years, she took on various roles, including Volunteer Coordinator and eventually joining the Board of Directors, all while continuing her education and medical training.

Dr. Tran graduated magna cum laude from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, alongside minors in Medical Humanities and Spanish. She went on to attend medical school at Oklahoma State University, finished her General Psychiatry residency at the OU School of Community Medicine and completed a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine.

Her early experiences at Manos Juntas profoundly shaped her approach to healthcare and advocacy. Working closely with immigrant communities, Dr. Tran developed a deep appreciation for the unique mental health challenges faced by underrepresented individuals, which furthered her resolve to work with vulnerable pediatric and geriatric patient populations. As a practicing psychiatrist, she is dedicated to providing and improving access to compassionate, culturally sensitive mental health services for all patients regardless of their background.
