Kris Barnes

Vice President

Fundación Manos Juntas

Kris Barnes comes to us with over 17 years of organizational management experience. She served as the Executive Director of Fundación Manos Juntas from 2012-2020, during which she wrote over 20 successful grant applications and worked closely with the healthcare provider to design and implement cost-effective and quality improvement procedures in the clinic. In 2021, she assisted clinic volunteers in organizing town-hall meetings for vaccine-hesitant residents of Oklahoma. She and Anoushka Mullasseril, a clinic volunteer and medical student, were guest panelists at the Oklahoma State Medical Association weekly COVID-19 press conference. Kris is currently an Assistant Director at the Yale Alumni Association and a Master of Public Health candidate at George Washington University. Kris is passionate about health equity and health education.

“Working at Manos Juntas inspires me. It serves as a constant reminder that you can provide high quality healthcare for a fraction of what it costs in the traditional environment. Healthcare is not a commodity.”
