James L. Green, D.O.

A native Oklahoman, James Green, DO began his journey into healthcare as a volunteer with Manos Juntas in 2012. He has since earned a BS in Biology from the University of Central Oklahoma with a minor in Technical Communications and a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Oklahoma State University. During his undergraduate years, he served as president of the Tri-Beta National Biological Honors Society, representative for the College of Mathematics and Science, and chairman of Academic Affairs. As a Peer Health Leader at UCO, he spearheaded multiple student health projects, including substance use awareness events, an HPV vaccination campaign and establishing a community garden.

He found a passion for addiction medicine during multiple clinical rotations at Griffin Memorial Hospital and at NorthCare in Oklahoma City with their PACT team, providing mobile primary and psychiatric healthcare for homeless and low-income segments of the population. Post-graduation, he has been serving as a volunteer clinician and is grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the dedicated and compassionate staff and volunteers at Manos Juntas. While he pursues a career in medicine, he remains committed to advocating for those in need and maintaining access to care for at-risk communities.
