Daysi Reyes, M.D., M.P.H.

Daysi Reyes, M.D., M.P.H. spent the earlier part of her medical career working as a hospitalist, a primary care physician in community medical centers, and the liaison between NGOs and the Nicaraguan Ministry of Health. She also conducted research on Chagas Disease and the Prevalence of Anemia During Pregnancy. While completing her MPH at George Washington University she focused on research methods and public health policy.

Dr. Reyes served Manos Juntas as the Assistant Medical Director for many years. She assisted in the creation and implementation of the Manos Juntas Diabetes Education and Management Program and regularly negotiated specialty referrals and procedures with local physicians on behalf of the uninsured patients at Manos Juntas. Dr. Reyes is currently studying her specialty at Yale University and has been involved in research at Yale.
